Responsibility
- Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor and optimize plant performance metrics, including efficiency, output, and downtime, to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), health and safety protocols, and environmental compliance regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, maintenance, quality control) to streamline workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Manage inventory levels, raw material procurement, and supply chain logistics to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Spearhead lean manufacturing initiatives, process automation, and technology adoption to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality in a plant setting.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and ISO standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and environmental compliance standards.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and make data-driven decisions.
