Responsibility
- Support the development and execution of category assortment plans to maximize sales and profitability.
- Conduct demand forecasting and inventory optimization to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform merchandise strategies.
- Collaborate with buying, marketing, and supply chain teams to align planning with business goals.
- Monitor and report on KPIs (e.g., sell-through rates, inventory turnover, GMROI) with actionable insights.
- Assist in seasonal and promotional planning, including allocation and replenishment strategies.
- Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) to generate forecasts and performance reports.
- Identify risks and opportunities in inventory management and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or retail analytics.
- Proven expertise in demand planning, assortment optimization, and financial forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and planning software (e.g., SAP, JDA).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in multi-market retail operations (preferably Malaysia/Singapore) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
