Responsibility
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in compliance with Indonesian and Malaysian tax laws.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and implications of business decisions.
- Assist in tax audits and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors to resolve tax-related inquiries.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize the company’s tax position.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, providing proactive recommendations.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on tax matters.
- Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing tax-related inputs and projections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance, advisory, or a related field, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian and Malaysian tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
- Proven ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
