Responsibility
- Lead and execute risk-based internal audits across business units in Southeast Asia and Africa, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance control frameworks.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize business processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and present audit reports, highlighting findings, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress to ensure sustainable improvements in governance and risk management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to enhance audit methodologies and frameworks.
- Mentor and guide junior audit team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc assignments related to risk assessment, fraud detection, and process reengineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, or CRMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or business process optimization, preferably in a multinational or trading/logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal control frameworks, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, ISO, or local regulations).
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in audit software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience working in multicultural teams and managing cross-border audits is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or French) are advantageous.
