Responsibility
- Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of research grants, from application to closure, ensuring adherence to university and funding agency policies.
- Coordinate with faculty, researchers, and external stakeholders to facilitate the submission of grant proposals and reports.
- Develop and implement efficient grant management processes to enhance operational workflows and reduce administrative burdens.
- Monitor grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines and financial regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and researchers on grant management best practices and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal) to resolve grant-related issues and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant activities, including documentation, correspondence, and financial transactions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of policies that enhance research support services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research administration, grants management, or a similar role within an academic or non-profit setting.
- Strong knowledge of grant management systems, financial compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with grant management software.
- Familiarity with research funding agencies and their application processes is highly desirable.
