Responsibility
- Develop and execute demand planning strategies to align inventory with market trends and sales forecasts.
- Manage product gross profit margins by optimizing pricing, promotions, and cost structures.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts/overstock.
- Analyze sales performance data and generate actionable insights to refine merchandising strategies.
- Lead tactical promotion planning, including seasonal campaigns and discount structures to boost sales.
- Monitor inventory turnover ratios and implement improvements to enhance cash flow and reduce holding costs.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on merchandising KPIs, including sell-through rates, GMROI, and forecast accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors (in Mandarin/English) to negotiate terms, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related fields; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, demand planning, or retail inventory management.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory; English proficiency is required.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and forecasting tools.
- Proven track record in data-driven decision-making and financial acumen (P&L, gross margin analysis).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce industries is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a problem-solving mindset.
