Responsibility

  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities for the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspect vehicles and machinery to diagnose issues, recommend repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Lead a team of mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their technical skills and productivity.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability while controlling costs.
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in budget planning for maintenance operations and provide input on capital expenditures for fleet upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Diploma or vocational training in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components in commercial vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
