Responsibility
- Translate and interpret Mandarin to Indonesian/English (and vice versa) for business meetings, emails, contracts, and shipping documents.
- Assist in negotiating and finalizing logistics agreements with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipping documentation, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Serve as a cultural liaison to foster strong relationships between the company and international stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and business correspondence in both Mandarin and English.
- Monitor and resolve communication-related issues in shipping operations to prevent delays or misunderstandings.
- Support the management team in strategic planning for expanding Mandarin-speaking markets.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive business information.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) and proficiency in English and Indonesian.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in translation, logistics, or a similar administrative role (shipping industry experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with shipping terminology, customs procedures, and international trade documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and translation tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
