Responsibility
- Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure compliance with PUMA's quality standards and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with the footwear development team to conduct material testing, performance evaluations, and durability assessments.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to identify and resolve product defects or inconsistencies.
- Manage laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and upgrades as needed.
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports to support product development and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to address quality issues and optimize material performance.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting footwear testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory management, preferably in the footwear or apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, testing methodologies, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
- Experience with laboratory equipment and software used in material testing and analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and eco-friendly materials is highly desirable.
