As an Assistant Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, managing the end-to-end accounting processes for real estate investment vehicles. Responsibility
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of real estate investment funds.
- Prepare and review periodic financial statements, including capital account statements and management reports.
- Oversee the calculation of NAVs, management fees, and performance fees for complex fund structures.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund managers to ensure timely completion of annual audits.
- Perform bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and treasury management for fund entities.
- Ensure compliance with fund documents, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements.
- Support the team by mentoring junior accountants and reviewing their work for accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CA, or CPA).
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in fund accounting, specifically within the real estate or private equity sector.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality reporting under tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, eFront, or Yardi).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
