In this dynamic role, you will support the Engineering Manager in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of all property facilities, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for guests. Based in one of Bali’s key areas—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung—you’ll work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment where innovation and teamwork are at the core of everything we do. Whether you’re troubleshooting complex systems or leading sustainability initiatives, your work will directly impact guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibility
- Assist the Engineering Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance and repair activities across the property.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety, health, and environmental regulations for all engineering operations.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and monitoring service quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Lead emergency response efforts for engineering-related incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to guests.
- Train, mentor, and supervise engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments to support property-wide initiatives, such as energy conservation and sustainability programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A professional engineering license is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or luxury property sector.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians or engineers.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other engineering software.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 property operations.
