The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Manager, Communications to join our team in Bali, Indonesia on a 1-year renewable contract. Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to enhance NUS’s brand presence in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
- Create and curate engaging content for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters, tailored to diverse audiences.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and partnerships with local and international media outlets.
- Coordinate and execute events and campaigns, such as webinars, conferences, and community engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, admissions, and academic departments, to ensure consistent messaging.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for NUS, representing the university at public events and networking opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in higher education communications to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or digital marketing, preferably in an academic or international organization.
- Proven track record in content creation, media relations, and campaign management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other Southeast Asian languages is advantageous.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including CMS platforms, social media management software, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving communication landscapes.
- Experience working in multicultural teams and familiarity with the higher education sector are highly desirable.
