Responsibility
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal standards.
- Assist in the management of contract lifecycles, from initiation to execution and renewal.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and organize contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the Lead of Commercial Contracts in strategic decision-making and process improvements.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in commercial law that may impact the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a license to practice law is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial contracts, preferably in the mining, resources, or corporate sector.
- Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management software.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
