Responsibility
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards and efficiency.
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining portion control and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and facilities.
- Assist in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts for high-quality ingredients.
- Support the Kitchen Manager in implementing new policies, procedures, and training programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and POS systems.
- Passion for culinary innovation and a keen eye for detail.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
