Responsibility
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
- Implement and maintain standardized recipes, portion control, and waste reduction practices to optimize cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute operational strategies that enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve any operational issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to kitchen workflows.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items and culinary innovations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a kitchen or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and budgeting.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
