Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Enforce strict hygiene and food safety protocols in compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in menu development and contribute innovative ideas to enhance culinary offerings.
- Handle staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and motivate the team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control principles.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
