Responsibility
- Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support the team in organizing and stocking ingredients, supplies, and kitchen tools.
- Help with basic cooking tasks such as stirring, mixing, and portioning under supervision.
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to meet presentation standards.
- Monitor and restock kitchen inventory, and notify supervisors of low supplies.
- Follow recipes and preparation methods to ensure consistency in taste and quality.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and proper handling of kitchen equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus, but not requiredâtraining will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for Chinese cuisine and a desire to learn new culinary techniques.
- Fluency in English or Indonesian is preferred.
