Responsibility
- Manage and monitor financial reporting for grant-funded projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.
- Prepare and submit periodic financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to stakeholders and funding bodies.
- Collaborate with program managers to align financial planning with project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of grant-related transactions, including disbursements and reconciliations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard grant funds and mitigate financial risks.
- Liaise with auditors and external partners to facilitate financial audits and reviews.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on financial policies, procedures, and grant compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in grant management.
- Proven track record of managing financial reporting for non-profit, educational, or international development organizations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and donor-specific financial regulations (e.g., USAID, World Bank, foundations).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
