Responsibility
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, products, and processes to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to analyze root causes of quality issues and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, non-conformance trends, and improvement initiatives for management review.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
- Train and guide staff on quality standards, best practices, and proper documentation procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar role within manufacturing or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Proficiency in using quality tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM machines, and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant industry standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing are advantageous.
