Responsibility
- Install, configure, and commission security screening systems, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on security screening equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets for security system deployments.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, including security personnel and facility staff, on the operation and basic maintenance of security systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the feasibility and requirements for security system installations in various environments.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and compliance records for all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to procure equipment, spare parts, and tools required for project execution and system upkeep.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in security technology to recommend upgrades and improvements to existing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of security screening systems or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for security systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in security system installation or maintenance (e.g., ASIS, TSA, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
