Responsibility
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies and procedures in marine operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety measures into project planning.
- Monitor environmental impacts and recommend sustainable practices for marine activities.
- Participate in emergency response drills and crisis management planning.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS roles within the marine or shipbuilding industry.
- Familiarity with Singapore EHS regulations (e.g., MOM, NEA) and international maritime standards (e.g., ISM, ISO 14001).
- Certification in occupational safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to operational demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
