Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Director or Senior Manager of Operations to spearhead our specialized Eye Clinic services. As the lead for Eye Clinic operations, you will be the bridge between clinical staff and executive leadership. You will be responsible for optimizing patient journey mapping, managing facility resources, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining a patient-centric approach. Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic operational plans to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Eye Clinic department.
- Manage the daily administrative functions of the clinic, ensuring seamless patient throughput and high satisfaction scores.
- Oversee departmental budget preparation, financial performance monitoring, and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams including clinical, nursing, and administrative support staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure full compliance with internal and national healthcare safety standards.
- Collaborate with medical directors to implement new technologies and clinical practices that enhance eye care outcomes.
- Represent the department in stakeholder meetings and contribute to broader organizational policy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Proven track record in managing specialized clinical departments (Eye/Ophthalmology experience is an asset).
- Strong analytical and financial management skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data.
- Excellent leadership skills with the capability to manage change and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and digital health record management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the medical organization.
