The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) is seeking a dynamic and visionary Assistant Director / Senior Manager to lead our engineering initiatives in Bali, Indonesia. Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies to expand IESās presence and influence in Bali and the broader Indonesian market.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, academic institutions, industry leaders, and engineering professionals.
- Program Development: Design and execute high-impact programs, workshops, and certifications to enhance the skills and competencies of local engineers.
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and team performance to ensure organizational goals are met.
- Partnerships & Collaborations: Identify and secure collaborations with multinational corporations, startups, and NGOs to drive innovation in engineering.
- Advocacy & Policy: Represent IES in regional forums, advocating for policies that support engineering excellence and sustainable development.
- Membership Growth: Develop initiatives to increase IES membership in Indonesia, focusing on engagement and retention.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular reports for senior management and ensure adherence to IESās global standards and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorās degree in Engineering (any discipline) or a related field. A Masterās degree or professional engineering certification (e.g., P.E., CEng) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in a leadership role within the engineering sector, with a proven track record in strategic planning and stakeholder management.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering trends, challenges, and opportunities in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams, inspire collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong presentation and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Networking: Established professional network within the engineering community, academia, or industry associations.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a multicultural setting and navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
- Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with digital tools, project management software, and data-driven decision-making.
