Responsibility

  • Lead the planning, execution, and maintenance of ACMV systems across NTU’s campus, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and sustainability goals.
  • Manage vendor contracts, negotiations, and service-level agreements to optimize cost efficiency and system performance.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of mechanical systems.
  • Oversee a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities management and sustainability offices, to integrate ACMV systems with smart campus initiatives.
  • Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, aligning with NTU’s green campus objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular audits and risk assessments for ACMV operations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend upgrades and innovations for campus infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, LEED) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in ACMV system management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in contract management, vendor negotiations, and budget oversight for large-scale mechanical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., SS 553, ASHRAE) governing ACMV systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in using CAD, BIM, or CMMS software for system design and maintenance planning.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, including faculty, contractors, and senior management.
