Responsibility
- Assist head chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and measuring.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Support in plating and garnishing dishes to meet presentation standards.
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies, including utensils, spices, and pantry items.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in food quality and taste.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sautĂŠing, or baking under supervision.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary setting (entry-level candidates with passion are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (HACCP or similar is a plus).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
