Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team in preparing ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and marinating.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in dish quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, ovens, and food processors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Support in plating and garnishing dishes to meet presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary environment.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Creativity and passion for learning new culinary skills and cuisines.
- Familiarity with Balinese or Indonesian cuisine is advantageous but not required.
