Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of Japanese and fusion dishes.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
- Participate in daily kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational updates.
- Handle food preparation tasks efficiently during peak hours to meet customer demand.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Assistant Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
