Responsibility
- Assist in the procurement of materials, components, and services by preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess.
- Update and manage system parameters for ordering, including reorder points, lead times, and supplier information.
- Coordinate with vendors to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory records to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities, spending, and supplier performance for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in managing inventory records and purchase orders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and basic understanding of contract law is a plus.
