Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end international import processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with trade regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, quality standards, and cost-effective sourcing.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure the best value for the company while mitigating risks.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement needs, forecasting demand and placing orders to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Collaborate with logistics, finance, and legal teams to streamline import operations and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, tariffs, and import/export regulations in all transactions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement, import operations, or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices).
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor contracts effectively.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement/ERP software.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
