Responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
- Manage inventory accounting, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of stock levels and related expenses.
- Prepare and present profitability analysis reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support audit activities by providing documentation, explanations, and corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, inventory management, and profitability reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations relevant to the industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in the lumber, construction, or manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
