Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the supervision, training, and professional development of junior accounting staff and team members.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of books, preparing critical financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor and ensure strict compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations and other statutory financial requirements.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and internal financial audits.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during annual audits to ensure smooth information flow and resolution of queries.
- Identify, recommend, and implement workflow improvements to optimize departmental productivity and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or assistant supervisory capacity.
- Solid experience in the retail, supermarket, FMCG, or consumer goods industry is highly advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and local tax compliance (BIR).
- Proficient in ERP accounting systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Cavite.
