Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian and Western fusion dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure all dishes meet high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food storage, and waste reduction.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to local health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food costs and portion control to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
- Assist in menu planning, costing, and pricing strategies in alignment with business goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef, with a strong background in both Asian and Western cuisines.
- Proven ability to create and execute fusion dishes with creativity and precision.
- Familiarity with Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, or Japanese culinary techniques is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
