Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and optimize AS400 (iSeries) applications for core banking and remittance systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable financial solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AS400 applications and databases.
- Write and maintain RPG, COBOL, or CL programs to support banking operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols in financial transactions.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for AS400 environments.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes for future reference.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior developers in AS400 technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AS400 (iSeries) development and maintenance.
- Proficiency in RPG, COBOL, CL, and DB2 for AS400 environments.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems and remittance processes.
- Experience with financial transaction processing and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a high-stakes environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team setting.
- Certifications in IBM iSeries/AS400 are a plus.
