Responsibility
- Prepare and bake high-quality salt bread and other artisanal pastries daily, adhering to DTB Coffee Shop’s recipes and standards.
- Measure, mix, and knead dough using traditional and modern techniques to ensure consistency and perfection.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and oven conditions to produce bread with the ideal texture, crust, and flavor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless operations and timely product delivery.
- Innovate and suggest new salt bread variations or baking techniques to enhance our menu.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and communicate restocking needs to the manager.
- Assist in training junior bakers and sharing best practices to uphold our bakery’s high standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker, preferably with specialization in salt bread or artisanal baking.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and food safety protocols.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while also adapting to creative adjustments.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy ingredients (up to 25 kg), and work in a warm environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet daily production deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional products.
- Familiarity with commercial baking equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers) is a plus.
- Basic English proficiency for communication in a multicultural workplace.
