Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of artisanal bread, pastries, and cakes according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate and ice cakes, pastries, and other baked goods with precision and creativity to meet customer expectations.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure fresh, high-quality supplies are always available.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal specialties based on customer feedback and trends.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and decorating tools.
- Assist in packaging and presenting finished products for retail and wholesale distribution.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients for custom orders or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or Icer in a professional bakery or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including dough preparation, proofing, and baking.
- Proficiency in cake decorating, icing, and piping techniques (e.g., fondant, buttercream, royal icing).
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and adapt to custom requests or dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics in food presentation.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy ingredients or equipment (up to 25 kg).
- Basic understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
