Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain aquatic environments to ensure optimal conditions for fish and other aquatic organisms.
- Conduct regular water quality tests and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Assist in the design and implementation of aquaculture systems, including ponds, tanks, and recirculating systems.
- Provide technical support and training to local farmers and fishermen on best practices in aquaculture.
- Collect and analyze data on growth rates, feed efficiency, and overall health of aquatic species.
- Collaborate with government agencies and NGOs to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture policies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness and adoption of sustainable aquaculture practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in aquaculture or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, water quality management, and aquaculture techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as needed.
