Responsibility
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols, including sterilization of instruments and preparation of treatment rooms.
- Assist in dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper handling and storage of radiographic images.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive dental measures.
- Manage patient records accurately, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes.
- Prepare and mix dental materials, such as fillings, cements, and impressions, as required.
- Coordinate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations, including appointment scheduling and inventory management.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and clinic policies.
Qualifications
- Valid APC (Annual Practicing Certificate) as a Dental Nurse or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Nurse in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in chairside assistance, infection control, and dental radiography.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse patients and teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
