Responsibility
- Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies for direct/indirect materials, services, and logistics to support Roche’s APAC operations.
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-competitive, high-quality, and sustainable partnerships.
- Oversee risk assessment and mitigation for supply chain disruptions, including geopolitical, economic, and logistical challenges.
- Drive supplier diversity initiatives and ensure compliance with Roche’s ethical sourcing and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and finance teams to align sourcing decisions with business objectives and innovation pipelines.
- Optimize procurement processes using data analytics and digital tools (e.g., ERP, SRM) to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Monitor market trends, cost benchmarks, and industry best practices to proactively adapt sourcing strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or CSCP certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in APAC.
- Proven track record in negotiating high-value contracts and managing supplier relationships in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of APAC market dynamics, including trade regulations, tariffs, and cultural nuances in business negotiations.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to evaluate cost structures, ROI, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Fluency in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are advantageous.
