Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) according to standard recipes and special orders.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP standards).
- Assist in menu development and seasonal specials based on local ingredients and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, track food stock levels, and minimize waste through efficient portion control.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (ovens, grills, mixers) safely and efficiently.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Adapt to high-volume periods while maintaining quality and consistency in every dish.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a chef, line cook, or all-rounder in a café, restaurant, or hotel.
- Proven ability to prepare Indonesian, Western, and fusion cuisine with creativity and precision.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with strong communication skills (English proficiency is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
