Responsibility
- Inspect aircraft composite structures for damage, wear, or defects using specialized tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on composite materials, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Fabricate and install composite components, ensuring precise fit and alignment.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the integrity of composite parts.
- Document all inspection findings, repairs, and maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement repair solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in composite materials and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Aircraft Maintenance, Composite Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with aircraft composite materials.
- Proficiency in using composite repair tools and equipment, such as vacuum bags, autoclaves, and bonding agents.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards, including FAA, EASA, or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or working in confined spaces.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
