Responsibility
- AI Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement MAS’s AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with national digital economy goals and international best practices.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee a pipeline of AI projects, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic impact, feasibility, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior leadership, regulators, and industry partners to drive AI adoption in financial services.
- Risk & Compliance: Establish frameworks for ethical AI, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in line with MAS guidelines.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, generative AI, predictive analytics) for potential integration into MAS’s operations.
- Change Management: Lead organizational transformation by training teams and fostering an AI-ready culture.
- Performance Metrics: Define KPIs to measure the success of AI initiatives and report progress to executive stakeholders.
- Innovation Leadership: Identify opportunities for AI to enhance monetary policy, supervision, and financial stability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, AI/ML) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in AI/technology project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within financial services or regulatory bodies.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of AI/ML models, data governance, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and financial technologies (e.g., blockchain, RegTech).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with central banking, financial regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., Basel, GDPR, PDPA).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive large-scale digital transformations.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives.
