Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end AI and software procurement, including vendor negotiations, contract lifecycle management, and compliance audits.
- Optimize cloud spending through FinOps best practices, cost allocation, and budget forecasting.
- Develop and maintain operational reporting dashboards to track AI/ML spend, usage trends, and ROI.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives and AI roadmaps.
- Implement automated procurement workflows using AI tools to reduce manual processes and improve accuracy.
- Monitor software licensing compliance and mitigate risks associated with under/over-licensing.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-effective AI/ML tools, SaaS platforms, and cloud services.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on AI-driven cost-saving opportunities and procurement innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields; MBA or certifications in FinOps, Procurement (e.g., CIPS), or Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, FinOps, or cloud financial management, with exposure to AI/ML tools.
- Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization in tech or cloud environments.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge technical and business teams.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or DevOps frameworks is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting with a results-driven mindset.
