Responsibility
- Operate and monitor Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to ensure timely and accurate material transport within the manufacturing facility.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on AGVs to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to optimize AGV routes and schedules for maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions or operational disruptions to the maintenance team for immediate resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while operating AGVs in a high-traffic manufacturing environment.
- Maintain accurate records of AGV operations, including logs of material movements, delays, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the training of new operators and provide guidance on best practices for AGV operation.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement software updates and system improvements for AGVs.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automation, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience operating AGVs or similar automated material handling equipment in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and software issues.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in industrial settings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and report operational statuses.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational guidelines.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
