Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on John Deere agricultural equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to extend equipment lifespan.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and PTOs using specialized tools and OEM parts.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software.
- Maintain accurate service records, including work orders, parts usage, and labor time for each repair.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide technical guidance to equipment operators on proper usage and basic maintenance practices.
- Stay updated on the latest John Deere technologies, service bulletins, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Mechanic, preferably with John Deere or similar agricultural/heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits in farming machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (e.g., John Deere Service ADVISOR) and hand/power tools.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and work in outdoor or shop environments.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites in Bali as needed.
- Certification from a vocational school or technical program in mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
