Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on John Deere agricultural equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to ensure equipment longevity.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and minimize equipment downtime.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics and operators on proper equipment usage.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably with John Deere or similar agricultural machinery.
- Certification in heavy equipment repair or a related technical field is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy components and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
