Responsibility
- Plan and facilitate engaging outdoor education programs, workshops, and team-building activities.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety are met during all camp operations and adventurous activities.
- Mentor youth participants to encourage personal development, confidence, and resilience.
- Coordinate logistics for camp activities, including equipment setup, maintenance, and storage.
- Manage group dynamics and mediate conflicts to ensure an inclusive environment.
- Provide prompt first aid and emergency response when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to design innovative camp curricula.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Sports Science, Outdoor Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in outdoor instruction, camp facilitation, or youth leadership.
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification (WFA certification is a significant advantage).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct groups of varying sizes and ages.
- High physical stamina and comfort working in outdoor, sometimes challenging, weather conditions.
- Proven ability to manage risks and make sound decisions in dynamic environments.
- Passionate about youth development and environmental stewardship.
