Responsibility
- Lead the sourcing and procurement of capital equipment for EMS projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support new product development (NPD) initiatives, from concept to commercialization.
- Apply PMP methodologies to manage procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify emerging trends, technologies, and suppliers in the capital equipment space.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships and driving continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing capital equipment, preferably within the EMS or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong understanding of new product development (NPD) processes and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in or with teams based in Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
