Responsibility
- Process and disburse municipal funds in accordance with government regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, receipts, and disbursement vouchers.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Verify the accuracy of payment requests, invoices, and supporting documents before processing.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient allocation of resources.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring to support fiscal planning and accountability.
- Handle inquiries and provide information to stakeholders regarding disbursement processes and status.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial administration, disbursement, or a similar role, preferably in a government or public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, bookkeeping, and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with government financial regulations and procedures is a plus.
