Responsibility

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of vouchers, payroll, and other disbursement documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, journals, and subsidiary accounts.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all financial data matches the general ledger.
  • Monitor and record daily financial transactions in accordance with government accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Process tax deductions, remittances, and other statutory government contributions.
  • Organize and archive financial documents and correspondence to ensure systematic record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with different municipal departments regarding financial documentation and procurement requests.

Qualifications

  • Completion of at least two years of college studies or equivalent vocational/technical training in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative support is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and basic accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and government financial regulations.
  • Excellent numerical skills and high attention to detail.
