Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive acoustic measurements, including environmental noise monitoring and building acoustics testing.
- Develop detailed acoustic models using industry-standard software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, and Odeon.
- Design and specify noise control measures for mechanical systems and building services.
- Provide expert advice on architectural acoustics, including room finishes and sound insulation performance.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and environmental impact assessments (EIA) for regulatory approval.
- Coordinate with internal project teams and external clients to ensure acoustic requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of fee proposals and contribute to business development activities.
- Stay updated on local Singaporean standards (NEA, BCA) and international acoustic regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on acoustics.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience in acoustic consultancy or environmental noise management.
- Proficiency in acoustic modeling tools like CadnaA, INSUL, EASE, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with acoustic measurement hardware (Class 1 sound level meters).
- Strong understanding of Singapore's environmental noise regulations and Green Mark requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
- Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., Society of Acoustics Singapore, Institute of Acoustics) is preferred.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
